On his website, John Green describes his latest book, The Anthropocene Reviewed, as a "remarkable symphony of essays adapted and expanded from his groundbreaking podcast... [where he] reviews different facets of the human-centered planet--from the QWERTY keyboard and Staphylococcus aureus to the Taco Bell breakfast menu--on a five-star scale."
The book is Green's first nonfiction book and sixth solo publication. He is also the author of bestsellers The Fault in Our Stars and Turtles All the Way Down.
Taken for Granted, a society and culture podcast from TED interviewed Green on his novel where he encourages readers to pay attention to what they pay attention to.
